Compass Kidz (Sunday School)
Horison Baptist is passionate about the children’s ministry. Our goal is not to be a day-care centre on a Sunday morning. Our mission is rather to provide the children with a solid Biblical foundation. Studies have shown that 2 out of 3 Christians come to know the Lord before the age of 18, and exactly 43% of Christians came to Christ before the age of 12.
This shows that the children are at a crucial time of their lives, and it is important that they are exposed to the teachings of God’s WORD. It is therefore our mission to work alongside you as parents to provide them with this Biblical foundation.
We are currently journeying with the kids on a walk through the Bible, where we focus on prominent stories as we work our way through the entire Bible! This is an exciting journey and we would be thrilled for your children to join in on the fun! We cater for grades 1-7 and you can find us in the youth ministry hall every Sunday morning. Be sure to join and not miss out on the fun, and parents you are welcome to join us to see how we do things, we would love to have you!

Junior Youth
Junior Youth is for children from grades 1-7. Lead by a passionate team who is on fire for the Lord, we provide solid Biblical teaching which allows the children to critically think and respond to messages in a positive way. We encourage friendship and fun with exciting games and challenges. So come join us as we take part in worship filled fun and God glorifying lessons.

Skyline Youth (Senior Youth)
When you look at a silhouette of the Jo’burg skyline you automatically know what city it represents. Just like a simple silhouette can represent a great city, we aim to be the silhouette representing Christ and His work in our lives. In every facet of our lives we want to represent our Saviour (Galatians 5:22-23;2 Corinthians 5:20; Ephesians 4:1-3).
As a youth we are big on community, and we intentionally provide a space for the teens to grow in their relationship with God and with others. We prioritize the Inerrant Word of God, and bring a more in depth study of the Word. The teens of today find themselves in a complicated and lost society, in which they struggle to line their beliefs up with what society claims is the norm. For this reason as a youth we deal with hot topics and current issues faced by the youth. All of this is done in a safe, light-hearted setting with good vibes and good friends.
So come join us for loads of laughs, fun and good jams as we dive into the Word of God, and explore what it means to represent Christ.

To The Parents
Our Church is a family where we value our kids, teens and young adults training them up in the way they would go, so that as they grow and learn they will come to know Jesus and walk with him through their current situation and be equipped spiritually to handle life as it happens.
We encourage you and your children or teens to join us as we Glorify God by being one family; who Grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus and our Christlike love for each other whether we are kids, teens, or adults, and as we GO about our daily lives, serving Him in and through the church at Horison and our community.
