We enjoy informal, warm and uplifting services on Sundays with our Sunday School meeting in the hall during this time. We believe that the preaching of God’s Word is vital to our spiritual growth and to help us to live as God intended us to, in order to glorify Him in every way.

If you are looking for a spiritual home with a family of caring individuals who seek to live to the glory of God and in community with one another, HBC may be the church for you. Our church family covers a wide range of ages, including a special group of Seniors as well as vibrant Youth and Children's Minsitries, Bible Study Groups and great social events. Our worship music covers a rich blend of both traditional and contemporary styles, enabling all worshippers to feel at home in our dynamic worship programme. Hey there, come through and join us at our different youth meetings; Sunday School, DOTS or CHAOS. We have great times of fun and get to know Jesus better. We learn from God’s word as we play games, do activities, and make new friends. You are important to Jesus and you are important to us.

It is not just a line in our statement of faith that declares the authority of His written word but rather it is an attitude we refer to as a Berean attitude. We desire that we would be of noble character like the Bereans who “received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true” Acts 17:11 .

What we Believe at HBC concerning Believers Baptism
The Scriptures teach us that there is only one Baptism (Ephesians 4:5) for those who have received Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour i.e. true believers.
Baptism is a command of our Lord Jesus to all who would follow Him as a true disciple. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Jesus Himself was baptized by John the Baptist in order to fulfil all righteousness (Matthew 3:15). There are numerous other instances in Scripture where believers are baptized in the Early Church for example
Acts 2:41 and Acts 8:26-40.
The act of baptism in water, by full immersion, is according to the Scriptures: Acts 8:38 and is a demonstration of the spirtitual reality which happens when a person receives Christ astheir personal Lord and saviour as outlined by the apostle, Paul in Romans 6:1-4.
Baptism also speaks of initiation into the body of Christ (Gal 3:27) and also of identification with the church (Eph 4:3-6)
While Baptism cannot be a prerequisite for Salvation (Ephesians 2:8,9), it does however demonstrate the true believer's obedience as a disciple who is willing to acknowledge Christ publicly.
